Equality:
•Prime Minister Narendra
Modi to unveil"Statue of Equality".
•It is a
216-foot tall statue of the 11th century reformer and Vaishnavite saint
Ramanujacharyulu at Muchinthal village,Hyderabad.
•The statue
being constructed is coming up on 40 acres inside the 200 acre-ashram of
Tridandi Chinna Jeeyar Swamy with an estimated cost of Rs 216 crore.
•The project was
mark up as part of the 1,000th (Sahasrabdi ) anniversary celebrations of
Ramanucharya.
•He was born in
1017 at Sriperumbudur in Tamil Nadu and spent a major part of his lifespan
spreading the Hindu philosophy of Vishishtadwaita.
•It is the
second largest statue in the world insitting position of the saint.
•The statue will
be surrounded by 108`Divya Desams’ of Sri Vaishnavism tradition.
